The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
